Belly or Navel Piercing

Piercing parts of your body has become increasingly popular, and almost everywhere you can stick a needle through is being pierced. Included with that practice is piercing your belly or navel, which, while looking good when done right, also needs some special attention to ensure you're not harming yourself through infections or other things.

Because of the temptation and reality that you will touch your hands involuntarily to the area you had pierced, it's essential to do this, especially while the wound is still healing and any chance of a virus, dirt or bacteria entering into your body through it is a reality. 

What you really have to watch for with belly piercing is seepage, swelling and soreness which is accompanied by an ongoing fever. If these things were to continue for too long, you should go to a doctor as soon as possible to get it checked out.

This is why it really should be done professionally and not on some street corner or by a friend that assumes they know what's best. 

Finally, some people enjoy combining a naval piercing and a tattoo, and the result can be wonderful and compelling to look at and see.

As you can see, the number and types of jewelry are vast, and you can get almost any type of look you want in your belly button.

And let's face it, that's one of the more obvious places people will see, and those doing it right can offer a very flattering and nice look to their body, and combining it with a tattoo takes it to another level. 

In going through these possible outcomes, it may sound like this is the way it happens with piercing, but overall it isn't; it's just that it would be irresponsible not to take these things into account and understand there are some small risks involved, which could be overall avoided by using common sense and obvious safety measures.
